The longest journey starts with a single step
Towards the end of 2009, I made a (failed) attempt at making a comic diary (for a superb example of one, see Brittany Long's here: [link]). I started strong - drew one everyday for a week and was truly enjoying myself while doing it. When it came time to upload them on my DA account, I wussed out, dropped the whole thing, and turned to irrationality in my decision that New Year's day was the "right" time to begin something like that and I would wait until then.
Well. Here we are.
There were other factors, too. "Life" got in the way. Life being my euphemism for the plethora of excuses I can come up with at any given time not to do something that scares me.
I had almost allowed myself to forget about the whole thing while 2010 approached, when I saw a tweet by "charlieissocoollike" [link] linking to a tumblr post [link] about the indieVISUAL Journal Challenge [link] which is summed up in founder Maddy's profile as:
Project: Draw once a day, every day for an entire year, joining many more artists and improving your own skills.
Considering that I wanted to challenge myself (or wanted to want to?), I took it as a sign that I should get back on track and commit myself to something again.
No more excuses. No more submitting to fear, insecurity, laziness, or procrastination (at least not in this area of my life). Today's the beginning of something very exciting.

Meanwhile everyone wants to breathe and nobody can. Many say, We will breathe later.
And most of them dont die because they are already dead.
^_^
(ps, going back to L&M?)
And I'm not sure about L&M. Probably not (though I still love the place and will probably be there to get my books).
